JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President of Addiction and Mental Health Services, the successful candidate will oversee all community mental health programs for adults. They will assist in program supervision and act as a consultant in the promotion, prevention and treatment of a mental health issues.
In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing adult mental health services, which include the following programs, among others:
- Access services;
- Specialized and intensive intervention services;
- Mobile crisis;
- FACT team;
- Supervised community care
- Forensic health navigator (Z1B);
- Day and transition centre (Z5).
The incumbent will also be called to work closely with partners such as activity centres, crisis centres, primary health care services and the Centre de formation médicale for postgraduate training in psychiatry. They will ensure that the necessary tools are in place to support the managers under their supervision.
They will also be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a standardized process for managing performance and quality. The incumbent will be responsible for managing staff physically working in other zones.
The duties of the position will involve travel within the Network's territory to support managers. The incumbent may be entrusted with other assignments depending on operational needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences, administration or another relevant field; or any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent;
- Master's degree in management considered an asset;
- Minimum of five years' experience in a health care management position;
- Minimum of eight years' experience in the health care field;
- Experience supervising or managing staff and strong coaching skills;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the addiction and mental health sectors, including program development and implementation;
- Ability to forge internal and external partnerships thanks to in-depth knowledge of the field and collaborative mindset;
- Proven leadership and strong communication skills;
- Strategic vision and a collaborative, innovative management style;
- Advanced problem-solving, planning, program development and evaluation skills;
- Ability to work in a changing environment and skills in implementing change-related strategies;
- Solid experience in managing people, financial resources and information;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical ability to perform the tasks associated with the position;
- Good work history (performance and attendance);
