SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President of Addiction and Mental Health Services, the successful candidate will oversee all community mental health programs for children and youth.
In this role, they will oversee the mental health sector for children and youth. This includes the following programs:
- Provincial Centre of Excellence For Youth (Z1B)
- Pierre-Caissie Centre
- New Brunswick FASD Centre of Excellence
- Integrated Service Delivery (ISD)
- Access services (one-at-a-time therapy)
- Specialized and intensive intervention services
- Coordination of suicide prevention services
In addition, the incumbent will be called to work in close collaboration and as co-leader on a number of portfolios, including primary health care, Planet Youth and youth centres (among others). They will also be required to provide joint leadership with other sector departments on community advisory committees. They will assist with program supervision and act as a consultant in the promotion, prevention and treatment of mental health issues. They must ensure that the necessary tools are in place to support the managers that report to them.
They will also be responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining a standardized process for managing performance and quality. They will be responsible for managing employees physically working in other zones.
The duties of the position will involve travel within the Network's territory to support managers. The successful candidate may be entrusted with various assignments depending on operational needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences, administration or another relevant field, or any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent;
- Master's degree in management considered an asset;
- Minimum of five years' experience in a health care management position;
- Minimum of eight years' experience in the health care field;
- Experience in supervising or managing staff and strong coaching skills;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the addiction and mental health sectors, including program development and implementation;
- Ease forging internal and external partnerships thanks to good knowledge of the field and collaborative mindset;
- Proven leadership and strong communication skills;
- Strategic vision and a collaborative, innovative management style;
- Advanced problem-solving, planning, program development and evaluation skills;
- Ability to work in a changing environment and skills in implementing change-related strategies;
- Solid experience in managing people, financial resources and information;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical ability to perform the tasks associated with the position;
- Good work history (performance and attendance);
