What is the opportunity?

The Enterprise Client Applications team manages IT applications enabling a comprehensive view of the client across the enterprise. We play a key role in integrating client data into cross-functional journeys, regulatory initiatives and transformation programs. Our goal is to drive delivery excellence and enable strategic transformation to drive RBC's success.

We're seeking a highly skilled Lead IT Scrum Master/Technical Delivery Lead to join our dynamic team and lead multiple Agile squads as we transform this space. As a key member of our diverse and inclusive team, you'll play a critical role in delivering innovative solutions using our Customer Data Management platform and contribute to the delivery of multiple complex enterprise-wide initiatives. What will you do?

  • Plan, manage and oversee the delivery of multiple agile workstreams in a data and API rich environment.

  • Remove impediments to deliver outcomes and results through proactive management of external dependencies, critical thinking/problem solving, and development of new solutions or approaches to ongoing challenges.

  • Navigate and identify shared IT capabilities required by the team in the delivery of its objectives. Facilitate discussion leading to collective decision-making, goal setting and conflict resolution within the team.

  • Continuously seek to improve team performance by promoting joint accountability for results and solving productivity issues. Facilitate and engage in technical conversations and data analysis across platforms and multiple levels of influence and encourage the adoption of AI capabilities in problem solving.

  • Communicate cross functionally, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes; Report team progress and accomplishment up and across; Facilitate status updates (including project financials and running concurrent Agile projects under fast-paced work environment), product demos and retrospectives.

  • Promote and drive adoption of Agile Methodologies and Agile Mindset (Drive Business Value, Deliver in Iterations, Collaboration)

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Strong IT delivery background: Minimum of 10 years delivering complex IT projects, with a preference for experience in software development or systems analysis. Past hands-on experience in application configuration or software development a plus.

  • Proven IT Scrum Master experience: Certified Scrum Master or Agile Practitioner with a strong track record of applying Agile Scrum principles, practices and techniques to drive team success. Experience leading the adoption of practices like Acceptance Test-Driven Development and Continuous testing and SAFe and/or Scaled Agile experience is a plus.

  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills: Ability to effectively prioritize own workload, focus on multiple streams of work, and manage competing demands to achieve results.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills: Ability to listen actively, communicate clearly and concisely with confidence, and influence others to achieve common goals.

Nice-to-have

  • Product and Domain expertise:

    • Technical expertise with and/or knowledge of IBM MDM or other master data management software

    • Technical expertise with modernization of legacy client data processing applications

  • RBC Agile Management Framework expertise: Experience applying the RBC Agile Management Framework
