What is the Opportunity?
RBC Client Cards Technology team is looking for a highly technical and skilled QE lead. As a QE specialist you will be accountable for leading testing activities for multiple projects of the Client Cards Technologies team including Cloud and Mainframe-based systems. You will be responsible for the leading and hands-on execution of system, automation and performance testing.
Our team supports and enhances a core application - large, sophisticated mainframe-based system which connects RBC clients to their banking products and services. This 24/7 application supports critical delivery channels such as Online Banking, POS, ATM and others.
What will you do?
Leading QE activities within the assigned projects
Owning design, implementation and maintenance of test automation solutions and documents for software products.
Adoption of available Automation products and suites.
Integration of Test Automation into DevOps pipeline
Acquire and apply deep domain knowledge, business logic, process, flows, data flows and rules, to ensure meeting the quality standards
Liaise with internal teams (e.g. PM's, Architects, Technical Leads, Developers, Business Analysts, Performance Testers and other team members within the workstream) and provide accurate test status updates to senior management at work-stream level
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
5 to 8 years of Development and QE Automation experience, with previous experience in Mainframe environment
4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in test integration and processes including integration with DevOps pipeline
3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with defining test strategy and test approach
3 to 5 years of expertise in understanding and use of APIs, extensive knowledge in API Automation, Service Virtualization and Relational and non-SQL database validation
Previous/current hands-on experience in test case design and test automation
Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related (technical) degree/diploma
Nice-to-have
Software Quality Certifications
Payments Experience in financial industry, knowledge of Canadian payment industry and ISO 20022 Standards
Mainframe development (COBOL, IMS) experience
