Definition of work:
The purpose of the position is to provide clerical support, reception, communication and management of information flow in Client Financial Services. The successful applicant must possess strong communication and organizational skills as well as, the ability to prioritize tasks in a changing environment. She/ he will report to the Manager of Client Financial Services. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.

? Regularly required to lift/move objects up to 10 lbs. and use a cart to transport objects within the building. Push/pull forces in the sedentary range (0-10lbF).
? Occasionally required to bend/twist, stretch/reach, and/or complete low level postures (kneeling/crouching/stooping).
? Constant sitting is required. Workflow may provide opportunity to occasionally stand and walk to take postural breaks at regular intervals.
? Work Environments present potential for exposure to scented/chemical products and/or other allergens within publicly accessible areas.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:
? Provide advanced word processing support for the preparation of a wide variety of correspondence, reports, and other materials.
? Communication and consultation with clients, public, and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
? Liaise with other staff members as well as outside agencies.

? Provide intake function of all client applications, financial reviews, and documents and follow up with individuals for completion of same.
? Data Entry and payment processing using the Client Referral Management System (CRMS) Program.
? Receive, track, and distribute mail according to established office assignments.
? Maintain filing systems and database, and provide statistical reports as required.
? Preparing reports to management/supervisor as needed.
? Ability to prioritize high volume of work.
? Work independently with minimum supervision.
? Other duties are required.

Required qualifications:
? Graduation from high school with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Education Department and Early Childhood Development.
? Completion of a two-year office administration course approved by Central Health.
? Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
? Demonstrated knowledge and ability in the operation of a computer using advanced word processing and spreadsheet skills
? Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.
? Demonstrated organizational, analytical, communication, flexibility and interpersonal skills
? Demonstrated ability to work independently
? A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position
? A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority
