What is the opportunity?
RBC Wealth Management is entering its next phase of growth, and strategic communications will be essential to our success. As a key member of our Global Wealth Management Marketing & Communications team, you'll serve as a trusted partner to Strategy, Products & Digital Investing leaders. You'll develop impactful communications to engage employees across our global organization, build awareness of key growth and transformation initiatives, and tell our AI and digital innovation story internally and externally.
What will you do?
- Shape the narrative around RBC Wealth Management's AI and digital evolution for internal and external audiences. Develop key messages for executives and media spokespeople that can be leveraged across global regions
- Enable the global roll-out of employee AI tools through clear and compelling communications, helping teams integrate AI into their work. Collaborate with line of business communicators on tailored employee communications strategies
- Design and deliver creative team and leadership events that build culture and reinforce business priorities
- Provide strategic counsel to senior executives including employee messages, briefing materials and presentation development
- Build internal communications campaigns and talking points to drive awareness, understanding, and stakeholder engagement on strategic change programs
- Partner with global colleagues across communications, HR, technology and strategy to ensure alignment and maximize benefits for the organization
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- 7+ years of communications experience
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related discipline
- Extensive internal and external communications experience, including experience in employee communications at a large organization and providing strategic communications counsel to executives and senior leaders
- Creative storyteller with outstanding written and verbal communications skills
- Strategic thinker with excellent relationship-building skills who can successfully work across functions and business lines within a large global business
- Ability to meet consistently high standards of quality while handling a variety of projects and deadlines simultaneously
Nice to Have
- Extensive experience in media relations and issues management
- Experience in change management, change communications, or technology communications
- Knowledge of financial/wealth management sector
