Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager – Compliance Management Reporting (Monitoring & Testing) the Compliance Reporting Analyst – Compliance Management Reporting will be responsible to lead the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise dashboards that support data-driven decision-making within the Compliance Monitoring & Testing program.

This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong analytical thinking, accountability, and stakeholder partnership. The successful candidate will transform complex monitoring and testing data into clear, executive-ready insights — ensuring dashboards not only report metrics, but tell a meaningful performance and risk story.

This role requires ownership, critical thinking, and the ability to translate regulatory compliance metrics into compelling narratives that drive action.

Key Accountabilities

1. Dashboard Design, Data Modeling & Reporting

  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports used by senior leaders.

  • Produce monthly performance dashboards evaluating effectiveness across supported business lines.

  • Develop scalable Power BI data models and optimize performance using DAX and best practices.

  • Integrate and synthesize data from SharePoint Lists, Excel, SQL, and other enterprise sources.

  • Ensure consistency and alignment of KPIs, metrics, and data definitions across reporting artifacts.

  • Maintain data integrity, documentation, and version control across all reporting outputs.

  • Establish visualization standards and promote dashboard usability and clarity.

2. Data Analysis, Storytelling & Insight Generation

  • Analyze trends, identify insights, and provide clear recommendations to drive business decisions.

  • Translate monitoring and testing results into meaningful risk and operational performance narratives.

  • Present insights, metrics, and trends to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, highlighting implications and emerging risks.

  • Partner with business teams to define KPIs, metrics, and data definitions that accurately measure performance.

  • Gather and document data integration and visualization requirements for analytics initiatives.

  • Develop reporting that answers "so what?" and supports executive decision-making.

3. Automation & Reporting Process Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and operational efficiency.

  • Design and support automated reporting workflows leveraging the Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).

  • Reduce reliance on manual reporting through scalable and sustainable solutions.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting maturity within the Compliance M&T program.

  • Support special projects and evolving reporting needs as required.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Team Contribution

  • Build effective relationships across Compliance stakeholders and other groups outside of Compliance.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate business requirements into reporting solutions.

  • Provide clear, concise analysis and communicate results to management and stakeholders.

  • Contribute to senior-level reporting through high-quality documentation.

  • Lead, mentor, and guide team members where appropriate; support knowledge transfer and capability building.

  • Promote a positive, collaborative work environment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in data analytics/reporting roles

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI (dashboarding, reporting, data modeling).

  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).

  • Solid experience with SQL, Excel, and SharePoint.

  • Demonstrated ability in data storytelling and data visualization — translating complex datasets into executive-ready insights.

  • Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and translate business needs into actionable reporting solutions.

  • Strong analytical thinking and critical problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accountability.

  • Working knowledge and/or awareness of Compliance, Risk Management, Monitoring & Testing space is an asset
