What you will be doing:
As the Manager, Wealth Strategy & Research, you will play an important role in advancing Tangerine's mission to redefine the wealth management experience for Canadians. You will contribute to the development and execution of key strategic initiatives, build and enhance market intelligence capabilities, and support leadership through clear and insightful reporting. This role is well suited to a strategic thinker who enjoys breaking down complex problems, staying ahead of industry trends, and translating analysis into practical, evidence based recommendations for executives.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Strategy & Insights
- Support the development of strategic priorities for the Tangerine Wealth business by conducting well?structured research and analysis that helps clarify opportunities, risks, and potential paths forward
- Analyze competitive activity, industry trends, and client needs to generate insights that shape business decisions and strengthen the long?term strategy
- Build financial and scenario models that help quantify opportunities, evaluate trade?offs, and support recommendations to senior leadership
- Create clear, compelling presentations and materials that summarize findings and communicate recommendations in a way that supports effective decision?making
- Market Intelligence
- Monitor developments in the global wealth management industry - including competitor actions, regulatory changes, and fintech innovation - and synthesize these insights into implications for Tangerine's strategy.
- Partner with market and client research teams to interpret data and generate insights that inform value proposition and go to market decisions
- Publish recurring market intelligence reports and briefs to build institutional knowledge and influence decision-making across the Tangerine Wealth business
- Governance & Management Reporting
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that track progress against strategic objectives and help leaders stay informed on performance and priorities
- Prepare concise, well?structured updates for senior leadership that summarize progress, highlight risks, and provide data?driven insights to guide next steps
- Support governance forums by coordinating inputs, ensuring accuracy of materials, and presenting information in a clear, consistent format that enables effective discussion
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Undergraduate degree in business or engineering, and/or graduate business degree
- 2+ years post-undergraduate experience in consulting (MBB preferred), corporate strategy, or investment banking
- Experience within the financial services industry preferred but not required, with a strong interest in the evolving digital wealth management landscape
- Strong analytical and critical?thinking skills with the ability to identify the key issues that matter most to business decisions
- Proven ability to break down ambiguous problems, analyze data effectively, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, while consistently delivering high?quality work within tight timelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing clear, well?structured presentations and analysis for leadership audiences
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and build productive relationships with partners and stakeholders
- Excellent knowledge with MS Office - including Word, Excel and PowerPoint -familiarity with data visualization tools is an asset
