The role:

Contributes to the overall success of the Global Payments and Cash Management Engineering teams in Canada and globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

What will you do?

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API using Robot Framework, Selenium, and Postman.
Ensure minimum 80% test coverage across all features to maintain high-quality standards.
Collaborate closely with engineers and product teams to achieve comprehensive test coverage and align on quality goals.
Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and identify defects, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to support rapid and reliable deployments.
Maintain and enhance the application-wide regression test suite to ensure stability across releases.
Investigate test failures, troubleshoot issues, and provide actionable insights to improve application reliability and performance.
Champion quality practices by applying industry best practices in test automation and software testing methodologies.
Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

What do you need to succeed?

Undergraduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other STEM fields
3+ years of experience in automated testing within complex environments
Proficient in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
Hands-on experience with Selenium, Robot, Postman, and related tools
Strong communication and presentation skills
Self-motivated and results-oriented
Ability to interact with cross-functional teams
Strong problem-solving abilities
Good analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
