About the Role:
The Provincial Recruitment Division is a strong contributor to NL Health Services? strategic and operational plans with a focus on building a diverse, qualified and sustainable workforce.
The HR Consultant works within a team environment and provides a full continuum of talent acquisition services to stakeholders in the public and throughout the organization. This involves sourcing talent, screening, interviewing and selecting top candidates, on-boarding, development of service contracts, incentives and strategies for difficult to recruit positions. The HR Consultant is an ambassador at career fairs and participates/contributes to lean, quality and improvement processes/policies.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
? Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Commerce with a specialization in Human Resource Management is required.
? CPHR certification is an asset.
Experience:
? Minimum of two years of recruitment experience in a unionized environment is required.
? Experience in the interpretation and administration of collective agreements is required.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
? Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
? Demonstrated strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage high volumes of work with multiple and competing priorities/deadlines.
? Demonstrated mediation, facilitation, and conflict management skills.
? Ability to work independently and to use discretion and good judgment in decision making.
? Demonstrated ability to work successfully within a team environment.
