Who we are:
We invite you to join the Parks NB team! You will have the opportunity to work at one of the most beautiful beaches in North America with the warmest salt water in Canada. Parlee Beach also holds international Blue Flag certification. The campground is located on well-developed grounds with over 210 sites.
What you will do:
Reporting to the Park Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following duties:
- Maintaining the property which includes mowing the lawn and pruning trees and bushes using various tools and equipment
- Maintaining trails and paths
- Ensuring that the site is kept clean and well organized
- Assisting in the maintenance and repair of buildings
- Performing other tasks as required
Who you are:
To be successful in this role, you have a great respect for health and safety procedures and are able to work independently as well as part of a team. You are able to prioritize tasks, think critically, and problem-solve.
Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
Required Competencies:
- Ability to read and write
- Possession of a valid New Brunswick Class 5 driver's license
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. Please ensure that preferred language for assessment is identified on your resume.
Nice to have:
- Prior experience in labour, landscaping, or janitorial work
- Valid Emergency First Aid/CPR certification
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures

Wage:
$25.67 per hour

- Working evenings, weekends, holidays, shifts and variable hours according to assigned schedule
