Job Description
What is the opportunity?
The Senior Manager, Data Enablement & Delivery [Sales & Service Transformation] is a strategic leader responsible for driving the development and delivery of performance reporting and analytics solutions for RBC's Advice Centre. This role will oversee performance data enablement across three key stakeholder-aligned pillars: Advice Centre Centres of Excellence (COEs), Advice Centre AI & Digital Transformation (ADT), and Distribution Strategy initiatives. You will own end-to-end accountability for data preparation, data source maintenance, analytical development, and reporting solution design—partnering closely with our Data Engineering team to build scalable, high-quality reporting assets. By fostering innovation, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement, you will shape the strategic direction of performance reporting while ensuring data quality, governance, and timely delivery of insights that drive business outcomes.
What will you do?
Advice Centre COEs – Performance Reporting
- Own end-to-end accountability for performance reporting across dedicated Sales COEs (Home Advisors, Account Open, Mortgage Renewal, GIC Renewal, and future COEs) using Salesforce and RBC data ecosystems.
- Lead data sourcing, integration, cleaning, and quality assurance to create reliable reporting foundations.
- Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards that track lead generation, opportunity management, conversion metrics, and key performance outcomes.
- Collaborate with COE leadership and stakeholders to define reporting requirements, SLAs, and success metrics; surface insights to drive operational improvements.
- Design and implement data automation and refresh strategies to minimize manual effort and ensure timely delivery.
Advice Centre AI & Digital Transformation (ADT) – Analytics for Transformation Programs
- Lead performance reporting strategy for ADT initiatives, enabling analytics support for organizational change and digital transformation goals.
- Develop dashboards that track adoption, performance, and business impact of transformational programs.
- Identify and recommend analytics approaches that illuminate program effectiveness and ROI.
- Coordinate data requirements and reporting solutions across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Distribution Strategy – Non-ADT Reporting
- Support reporting and analytics needs for RBC's Distribution Strategy initiatives outside of ADT scope.
- Develop solutions aligned with strategic priorities to enable informed decision-making.
Data Governance & Scalability
- Uphold rigorous data governance practices, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity across all reporting solutions.
- Manage Tableau model, data source, and permission management in partnership with IT and Data Engineering.
- Drive automation and efficiency in data delivery processes, reducing manual effort and enhancing scalability.
- Monitor and enforce data quality standards across source systems (Salesforce, Snowflake, Trino) and reporting assets.
Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Insights
- Build and maintain strong relationships with COE leadership, ADT program leads, Distribution Strategy stakeholders, and senior management.
- Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in performance reporting and data enablement.
- Proactively deliver timely, value-added insights and actionable recommendations to drive decision-making and business outcomes.
- Translate complex data and technical concepts into clear, business-relevant insights for non-technical audiences.
- Manage and prioritize multiple business initiatives, projects, and ad-hoc analysis requests.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Explore and implement new data sources, tools, and techniques to enhance analytics capabilities and reporting quality.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies (e.g., Salesforce analytics, advanced analytics frameworks) that could enhance data enablement.
- Foster an environment of experimentation and learning.
Team Development (when applicable)
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of reporting and analytics professionals as the role evolves to include direct reports.
- Identify skill gaps and provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and empowerment.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- 4+ years of experience developing, supporting, and maintaining reporting dashboards and analytics solutions in data-heavy environments.
- Proven expertise with modern data stack tools: Python/PySpark, Snowflake, Trino, and Tableau.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex reporting projects with multiple stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong data engineering fundamentals: data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data quality, and data governance.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization.
- Solid understanding of data management practices and data pipelines.
- Attention to detail, organization, ability to multi-task, and time management.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Salesforce data integration and analytics.
- Experience in financial services or banking domain.
- Knowledge of RBC's Agile Management Framework (AMF).
- Understanding of Advice Centre operations and dynamics.
- Exposure to transformational program management and change analytics.
- Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or related discipline.
