The opportunity
The Canadian Talent Enablement team is seeking a Talent Operations Specialist to join the Canada Talent Operations team. The Talent Operations Specialist provides personalized responses to employees for talent processes such as Departures and Leave of Absences. The Talent Operations Specialist will also address employee needs that go above support offered by the third-party talent transaction service provider.
This role involves significant interaction with employees, Talent team members, other internal stakeholders such as payroll, and the third-party services provider.
The responsibilities include performing talent operational tasks, reporting, coordinating major talent programs, and other HR processes to support Talent Operations, the Talent Consultant team, Employee Relations COE and other talent team stakeholders. The incumbent will possess deep understanding of business needs, understand how to ensure successful implementation of key, high-touch people processes and initiatives, and will ensure their support is focused on delivering exceptional client service.
Your key responsibilities
- Conduct employee consultations providing advice and guidance related to processes such as Leave of Absences (LOA) and Return from Leave (RFL), Flexible
- Work Arrangement (FWA), and Education Leaves .
- Support parts of the departure process and collaborate with employees, Employee Relations COE, managers, and stakeholders, as required to ensure a smooth offboarding experience. Tasks include reviewing and approving documents related to departures, and reviewing exit survey data for trends to provide analysis to Talent teams.
- Collaborate with the Talent Consultant team and various stakeholders to manage and execute major talent programs – such as year end activities, campus onboarding/offboarding, vacation administration, and study leave.
- Support employee requests related to Immigration and Work Permits including coordination with EY Law and managing approvals with the business, as needed.
- Execute operational activities including components of employee life cycle transaction requests, effectively monitoring shared inbox and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Supporting case management and act as first escalation point and monitoring the status of cases provided by third party transactional support, managing complex/sensitive employee scenarios and resolving escalations.
- Collect and structure data from multiple sources to produce reports providing analysis and recommendations for moderately complex issues.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Talent Enablement team, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.
- Advise peers and share best practices.
- Deliver portions of new employee orientation and presentations.
- Lead or participate in assigned special projects.

What we look for
- A Bachelor's degree or a certificate in Human Resources (or a related field). Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 3 years experience executing Human Resources programs and processes
- Experience with HRMS system(s) that support HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle (SuccessFactors an asset)
- Strong skills in Excel and Power Point
- Ability to effectively learn and embrace new technologies and techniques
- Experience with ServiceNow is considered an asset
- This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and professionals nationally and globally. Professional competency in the English language is therefore a requirement of this role. Bilingualism in both French and English is considered an asset.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
- Toronto: $65,600 to $98,400
- London/Waterloo/Ottawa: $65,600 to $98,400
- Vancouver: $65,600 to $98,400
- Victoria: $65,600 to $98,400
