The opportunity

As the Team Leader, Drug Administration & Pharmacy Relationship Management, you will lead the Drug Administration and Pharmacy Relationship team. You will oversee daily operations and support national negotiation strategies. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations, strong service delivery, client satisfaction, and effective pharmacy relationships across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the operationalization of drug formularies, price files, policies and procedures, ensuring accurate implementation of public and private drug benefit plans.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a diverse team, overseeing performance, growth, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute the national Pharmacy Provider strategy, including negotiating pharmacy agreements and supporting POS implementation.
  • Strengthen relationships with pharmacies, vendors, and key industry stakeholders across Canada.
  • Support PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Manager) strategic initiatives, contributing to process improvements and optimization opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or a related field.
  • Experience in pharmacy, pharmaceutical, or clinical environments considered an asset.
  • 5-7 years of management experience in operational environments.
  • Deep knowledge of pharmacy or drug benefits management.
  • Experience in group insurance or the insurance industry is an asset.

  • Ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong skills in organization, prioritization, communication, and negotiation.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans and roadmaps.
  • Experience motivating and engaging high?performing teams.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy?based systems (POS) and provincial drug plans is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required to meet business needs.

Salary Range: $99,177.00 to $121,217.00 (CAD)

This posting is for a newly created position within our organization.

The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs. Payments under these programs are discretionary and subject to both individual and organizational results.
