We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team in Client Solutions! Are you collaborative, self-motivated, adaptable, and innovative? Do you have a passion for working with cutting edge technology and teams of great people? If so, this might be the opportunity for you!

Client Solutions is a part of Medavie Operations. Operations sets up and administers new group and individual insurance policies, handles the analysis and payment of insurance claims, and manages customer service for our clients.

As a Business Analyst, you will work on new and complex projects in collaboration with groups throughout our organization to make the work performed within the above-stated scope of Operations happen more effectively. You will work with business leaders and cross functional groups across the organization to formulate business cases that include solid ROI data for projects focused on improving user experience to drive higher net promoter scores.

This is a 12 month term position, which will include benefits.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, IT, Sales, and Marketing) to understand business needs and operational challenges.
  • Analyze data from multiple operational areas to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop business cases and recommendations aligned to business strategy, user experience, and ROI.
  • Act as a trusted liaison between business and technical teams to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of efficient, scalable operational processes.
  • Influence change by promoting user-focused solutions that enhance client experience and drive improved outcomes (e.g., NPS).
  • Create clear documentation, requirements, presentations, and implementation materials.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to gather requirements, validate solutions, and drive consensus.
  • Communicate effectively with varied audiences, adapting messaging to support decision-making and alignment.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and prioritization.
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure testing coverage aligns with project scope.
  • Support successful implementation through training and transition activities as needed.
  • Manage multiple deliverables independently while meeting timelines and quality expectations.
  • Ensure analysis and project milestones progress efficiently from concept through implementation.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or or College Diploma in related filed of study and/or equivalent experience

Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of work experience in Business Analysis or closely related field with a focus on data, reporting and coding.

Other Qualifications:

  • Programming knowledge, Proficient in VBA, strong understanding of SQL and query writing, MS Access
  • Previous facilitation experience with small to large groups of professionals is essential.
  • Experience with data systems such as PowerBI, Tableau and Alteryx would be an asset.
  • Experience with ALM and Jira would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with respect to managing client expectations, resource coordination and task management with teams of subject matter experts.
  • Experience in working in agile project management would be an asset.
  • Exceptional relationship building and collaboration skills with a proven track record of maintaining positive, professional business relations to achieve recognition, confidence, and respect as a "trusted advisor".
  • Experience in writing business requirements & business cases and in gathering data to formulate ROIs would be an asset.
  • Experience in the insurance industry would be an asset.
  • Adaptable, able to handle change and capable of organizing multiple initiative streams in parallel while meeting deadlines.
  • Progressive technical knowledge, and an interest in leveraging cutting edge tech like AI, cloud-based systems and SaaS to create efficiencies and solve business problems.
  • Programming knowledge, Proficient in VBA, strong understanding of SQL and query writing, MS Access

Language Skills: English, written and spoken. French would be considered an asset.

Pay Range:

$61,220 - $76,525
