Job Title: Conveyor Belt Technician (Heavyweight Belts)

Location: Burlington, ON

Starting Salary: $32.00 - 40.00 / hour (based on experience)

Shift: Monday - Friday, Day Shift

Job Type: Permanent Hire

Our client in Burlington is seeking an experienced heavyweight conveyor belt technician / installer to join their team. This role offers long-term employment, opportunities for advancement, and overtime after 8 hours daily. We require a valid G-class driver's license and 1-3 years of belting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a team of 2-3 technicians to remove and install conveyor belts at customer sites .
• Assist in training junior technicians on installation and vulcanization techniques.
• Operate a belt winder, pulley, forklift, man lift, or other equipment and machinery (training provided as needed) .
• Perform hot and cold vulcanization and mechanical joints.
• Make all necessary conveyor adjustments and repairs as needed while completing inspections.
• Prepare orders in shop with the use of measuring and cutting tools.
• Communicate with customers to provide job updates, time estimates, and explain scope of work.
• Maintain a clean truck and work space , taking inventory of equipment and tools used.
• Complete post-job documentation and record of hours and work performed.
• Maintain regular contact with supervisor regarding progress of work and performance.
• Lifting up to 50lbs and completing other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 1-3 years of conveyor belt installation or vulcanization experience required.
• Heavyweight belt experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong measurement (metric and imperial) skills and ability to complete basic calculations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to solve problems effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and be comfortable working in manufacturing environments.
• Valid G-Class Driver's License and Driver's Abstract required.
• Willing to provide a Criminal Record Search.
