SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

The Department of Health is seeking an individual to join the Primary Health Care Branch as a Senior Business Analyst. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Primary Health Care Strategy & Innovation.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will:
- Ensure data needs are captured, automate data extractions, and generate monthly reports;
- Provide advice to aid the development of standardized document processes and integration with a common Electronic Medical Record;
- Develop a contract tracking system for teams established across New Brunswick who are partnered with the Department or the Regional Health Authorities;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a monitoring framework on key indicators (e.g., newly formed teams, team composition, attachment, and access times);
- Collaborate and advise the Shared Analytics and Medicare & Physician Services branches on the development of a patient registry platform, ensuring reports for monitoring and decision making can be produced;
- Use available data to prepare presentations for Senior Management and Primary Health Care Providers, ensuring a quality improvement approach is established and executed;
- Sit on various committees related to Primary Health Care transformation initiatives;
- Lend continuous improvement, data management, and business intelligence support to other branch employees' projects, programs, and files;
- Provide advice and recommendations to other branch employees on report generation, analysis, and decision-making processes, as well as operational risk mitigation.
- Perform various other duties as required.
Who you are:
- You are recognized for your attention to detail, organization skills, ability to prioritize deliverables and management of multiple initiatives at one time.
- You are an effective communicator, adept at presenting detailed factual and conceptual information on issues that require explanation and interpretation.
- You are equally comfortable and effective working with Executives, external stakeholders, clients and all levels of the organization.
- You are familiar with technical writing.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or another related field, and five (5) years of relevant experience designing business processes and developing reports and data analysis, or
- Diploma in Applied Information Technology, Business Analysis, or another related field, and seven (7) years of relevant experience designing business processes and developing reports and data analysis.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Access is also required.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability on your application.

Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate the following asset qualification:
- Experience with, or knowledge of, Project Management methodologies and principles.

Salary: $2,249 to $3,145 bi-weekly (Pay Band 4)
