Who we are:
As a member of the Explore NB Street Team, you'll hit the road in our branded Explore NB cruiser, spreading good vibes and promoting our brand at various events, festivals, and communities. You'll be the face for Tourism New Brunswick, engaging with people, sharing info about our amazing local products, and inspiring visitors with cool road trip ideas. But it's not just about representing us, you'll also get to network and collaborate with events/festival organizers and other key tourism industry around the province. Plus, you'll work closely with our social media team to capture killer content, creating awesome reels, and share-worthy stories that'll take our online presence to the next level. If you're outgoing, creative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, then the Explore NB Street Team is your calling this summer. What you will do:
Students on the Explore NB Street Team are expected to accomplish the following tasks:
- Exploring the province by visiting major attractions, festivals, and events, provincial parks, and communities to promote New Brunswick and elevate brand awareness
- Capturing content for social media channels
- Driving the Explore NB Cruisers, ensuring it's always fueled & cleaned
- Setting up/tearing down furniture and equipment during activations at various locations
- Distributing promotional materials and items to visitors as deemed appropriate (from maps to caps)
- Interacting with NB residents and visitors to the province, offering them fun things to see and do in NB
- Encouraging people to sign up to our newsletters
- Communicating with tourism industry leaders and municipalities throughout the province
- Tracking inventory of distributed materials and promotional items weekly
- Preparing and submitting travel expenses, receipts, and timesheets based on Provincial Government's standards
- Following Vehicle Management Agency's guidelines for the Explore NB vehicles
- Tracking and recording kilometers and reporting any issues or damages
- Using judgment, critical thinking, and people skills
- Maintaining cleanliness of working spaces.
- Performing other tasks as required
Who you are:
Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
Required Competencies:
- University or college student with a minimum of one (1) year completed, and who will be returning to school in the fall
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Resident of New Brunswick
- Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
- Strong competencyin Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to work independently
- Experience with social media marketing
- Team player and creative thinker
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. Please ensure that preferred language for assessment is identified on your resume.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of NB products, artists, and experiences
- Experience in customer service or hospitality
- Experience with events

Wage:
Based on student rates of pay
Work environment:
- Main office location: Marysville Place, Fredericton
- Average of 40 hours/week
- Please note that this position requires variable and extended hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Frequent travel throughout the province is required
- We promote a scent-reduced environment
*Please note this position requires significant travel throughout New Brunswick, as well as work outside of regular work hours. Standard hours of work may be altered to accommodate these requirements.*
