SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent provides high-quality service to internal clients of all ages at the Restigouche Hospital Centre who have various mental health issues and other identified needs. They work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team and participate in promoting the profession. They ensure the delivery of services in accordance with social work practice standards and best practices. The incumbent also participates in the planning and implementation of service activities, including quality management, performance management, statistical analysis, and the training and orientation of interns and new employees in the department.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Member in good standing of the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers;
  • At least three (3) years of relevant clinical experience;
  • Progressive related work experience in which leadership ability has been demonstrated;
  • Advanced non-violent crisis intervention training (CPI) or a commitment to take this training within set schedule;
  • Prevention and management of suicidal behaviour's training or a commitment to take this training within set schedule;
  • Knowledge of software currently used within the Network;
  • Good sense of responsibility and a high degree of autonomy;
  • Good organizational skills and ability to establish priorities;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work with external community organizations;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physically able to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
