JOB SUMMARY:

This is a clinical role that involves planning and providing professional social services, in a facility or community setting. The work focuses on the patients' needs and is based on a recovery-oriented approach. It may require active participation in interdisciplinary teams, identification of service delivery options and ongoing assessment. The successful candidate will contribute to planning and implementing the activities of the department or program. The work may include activities related to quality improvement, statistics development, trainee training, research, workload management and care coordination.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Member in good standing of the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers
• Professional experience in health care services (asset)
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and diverse populations
• Leadership and ability to make informed decisions
• Clinical judgment and analytical reasoning
• Ability to set priorities
• Knowledge of computer tools
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability and flexibility
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform assigned work
• Good work history (performance and attendance)
