The Chapman Group is assisting Mawiw Council in finding their next Jordan's Principle Clinical Case Manager. The Clinican Case Manager will work collectively with the Jordan's Principle Clinical Case Manager in the Fredericton Office, Case Coordinators, Wholistic Support Workers, Community Programs and with families who have children with expressed needs. In an effort to build rapport within the community, the Clinical Case Manager will work in the designated First Nation communities of Elsipogtog & Esgenoopetitij by supporting:
- The management of complex cases to oversee and monitor clinical case operations to ensure high-quality and culturally based client care.
- Collaboration with the management team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- The development and implementation of policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards.
- The Training and mentoring clinical case staff and promote professional growth and development.
- The fostering of a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and open communications; and
- Collaboration with participating First Nation communities providing continuous support, engagement and to raise awareness of MAWIW services.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in either a Social Work or healthcare related field
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role with direct reports ( in-person and satellite offices)
- Valid license or certificate as required by the relevant professional regulatory body
- In depth knowledge of clinical care operations, quality improvement and regulatory compliance
- Highly motivated, energetic, and creative
- Demonstrate professional, appropriate, effective, and tactful communication skills including verbal and non-verbal
- Possess good writing and data entry skills
- Must understand Microsoft Office Software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Mail
- Criminal Record check/Vulnerable record check
- Must have a Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience working with First Nations, preferably in social development
- Prior experience establishing strong client relationships
- English/Mi'kmaq is considered an asset
- Experience with case management
- Knowledge and understanding of First Nation issues
- Effective conflict resolution skills
- Possess a positive attitude and be enthusiastic/passionate about delivering the best services to First Nation children and their families
MAWIW Council Inc. is a First Nation tribal organization whose primary purpose is to improve the overall well-being of NB's three largest rural First Nation communities (Elsipogtog, Negotkuk, Esgenoopetitj) based on unceded Wabanaki territory. MAWIW's initiatives and projects range from but not limited to: Health, Community Capacity Building, Employment and Training, Economic Development, and Service Delivery.
