WorkSafeNB is seeking a permanent position for a Senior Project Manager with proven experience in managing complex IT projects and programs, including large-scale system implementation projects. Reporting to the Manager, Project Management Office, the Senior Project Manager is accountable for managing complex projects and or programs that expand or impact multiple business units across the organization, multiple and diverse stakeholders, with high levels of unpredictability and which often involve external vendors such as implementation partners and strategic advisors. Management of the project team is central to this role and typically is much more challenging than conventional direct reporting structures. Therefore, the ideal candidate must demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to engage effectively at all levels and should be open to feedback while remaining adaptable to changing priorities and circumstances.
The Senior Project Manager is ultimately responsible to the organization for the actions and activities of many stakeholders within a project environment, achieving project objectives and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. The Senior Project Manager also provides coaching to project managers and applies standard project methodologies to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of solutions that provide value and align with the WorkSafeNB strategic plan.
Your key areas of responsibility include:
- Leading project teams that span across multiple business units.
- Providing coaching and mentoring to colleagues, project stakeholders and project team members as it relates to the importance of the Project Management discipline and the benefits it brings to the organization to help achieve successful project delivery
- Performing program management in which you will be accountable for overseeing the completion of a set of projects that are all interrelated and deliver a combined benefit to the organization. The Senior Project Manager will lead the overall program with strong attention to strategy, implementation, and delegation.

You, as a successful candidate, possess:
- University degree in a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional environment.
- A minimum of five years of experience with complex, large-scale projects/programs.
- Project Management Professional certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent.
- Strong facilitation and leadership skills.
- Experience with large scale transformational projects is an asset.
- Experience with Agile would be an asset.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma is an asset.
- Change Management skills are an asset.
Written and spoken competency in English is required.
Your primary workspace will be from your in-home office, with the occasional expectation of in person meetings, for that reason, working from outside the province or country is not permissible.
Pay Scale $97,104.47 to $114,239.84
Hours of work are those required to perform the assigned tasks but shall not be less than 35 hours per week.
