Account Analyst

Job Title: Accounts Analyst
Location: Moncton, NB
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm
Wage: $20.00 - $23.00/hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Analyst to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and supporting month-end processes. The role involves frequent use of the ERP system for day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support business decision-making.
• Perform reconciliations of accounts including bank, AP, AR, and intercompany transactions.
• Maintain general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Generate and analyze financial reports using Sage 300.
• Monitor budget vs. actual spending and identify variances.
• Assist with audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Support accounts payable/receivable processing and ensure accurate entries.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar accounting or financial analysis role.
• Hands-on experience with Sage 300 ERP.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
