Who we are:
We invite you to join the Parks NB team! You will have the opportunity to work at one of the most beautiful beaches in North America with the warmest salt water in Canada. Parlee Beach also holds international Blue Flag certification. The Park offers a variety of beach activities throughout the summer, and its campground feature over 210 sites.
What you will do:
Reporting to the Office Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting individuals and providing general information
- Answering telephone, screening callers and providing necessary follow-up
- Preparing, formatting, proof-reading and editing correspondence or documents
- Receiving, sorting, and forwarding emails, mails and preparing replies to routine correspondence
- Organizing, coordinating, and attending various meetings, taking notes, and writing up minutes
- Participating in the issuing of camping permit/reservations (CAMIS 5)
- Maintaining an efficient filing system
- Ordering, receiving, and maintaining office supplies
- Performing other related duties as required
Who you are:
You are someone who prides themselves in exceeding client expectations, being flexible and supporting members of your team. You are experienced in providing administrative support. You must be a team player who works with attention to detail and possess strong interpersonal, communication skills and are self-motivated.
Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
Required Competencies:
- A high school diploma supplemented by successful completion of one (1) year post-secondary program in office technology or secretarial field or other post-secondary education in a related field
- A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience
- Strong experience working with Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Experience working with project management and correspondence tracking software
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. Please ensure that preferred language for assessment is identified on your resume.
Nice to have:
- Ability to use office technology, software, and applications, such as grant management applications and Oracle/Fusion

Wage:
Administrative Services Level 2: $1,419.00 to $1,700.00 bi-weekly
Work environment:
- Office location: Parlee Beach Provincial Park
- Standard hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:15AM-4:30PM
