SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Food and Nutrition Services and Environmental Services, the incumbent will assume overall responsibility for the administrative management of human, financial and material resources, staff training, as well as quality and risk management of environmental services in their zone. They perform their duties and exercise their leadership to implement local and regional projects focused on continuous improvement of care and services, including a safe range of services that meet the needs of various client groups, efficient use of resources, implementation of best practices, and performance and quality management. In addition, the incumbent must forge close links with infection prevention and control departments to establish mechanisms to ensure patient safety and infection control. They must also establish and build fruitful working relationships with customers, suppliers and partners.
The incumbent ensures that services comply with legislation, accreditation standards, and Network standards and policies. They actively participate in regional initiatives that involve environmental services and/or the Provincial Health Plan and/or Vitalité Health Network's strategic plan. The incumbent is required to supervise employees who physically work in other facilities. Therefore, as part of their duties, they are required to travel within their zone or within the Vitalité Health Network territory.
REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate degree in administration or a field relevant to the position;
- Graduate degree in administration or management considered an asset;
- Five years' relevant management experience;
- Experience supervising/managing staff and strong coaching skills;
- Combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be considered;
- Innovative and collaborative management style;
- Ability to motivate and engage people and to act as a change agent;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to set priorities and meet objectives;
- Ability to use common computer tools (Microsoft 365, Meditech);
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical ability to perform assigned work;
- Good work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, Vitalité Health Network's management philosophy and organizational values;
