We are looking for two (2) Outage Dispatchers (Shift) to join our Control Centre Operations team in Ragged Lake. This position reports to the Manager, Distribution Control.
Key elements of this role include:
- Monitor and dispatch field crews for trouble work based on company dispatch guidelines.
- Dispatch and complete trouble calls and incidents in ADMS, ensuring efficient response to outages and trouble events while prioritizing public and employee safety.
- Evaluate and prioritize trouble calls, coordinating crews efficiently in accordance with dispatch guidelines.
- Verify accuracy of trouble calls using available tools to ensure optimal use of work resources.
- Inform and coordinate with stakeholders (Schedulers, Supervisors, etc.) when events deviate from forecasted trouble expectations or durations.
- Update and maintain Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) information for trouble calls in ADMS.
- Maintain accurate resource data, including crew complement, contact information and vehicle data across ADMS, GE APM (Control Centre Apps), and TurboNet (mobile radio systems).
- Monitor and track lone-worker status via mobile radio systems.
- Dispatch internal and external crews during storm response in coordination with field crew leads.
- Potential to dispatch emergency inspector work (day/night).
- Support planned outage execution by managing the automated call-out and modelling process.
- Support disconnect/reconnect work, including taking responsibility for renovation reconnects after 3:00PM.
- May be required to work overnight or adjust schedules on short notice to support operational needs, including storm or emergent events.

- The ideal candidate will have a minimum five years' experience working in an operational environment with experience coordinating internal and external resources to meet productivity standards.
- You are a team player with a strong customer service ethic, and you possess excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to manage difficult conversations.
- You have and are able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a continuously changing environment.
- The incumbent will also have and is able to demonstrate an intermediate knowledge of MS Office, experience with computerized planning software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Maximo, ADMS, CIS and Service Hub or equivalent experience would be considered an asset.
- Experience with T&D Operations and dispatch is considered an asset.
