JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Respiratory Therapy and Electrodiagnostics, the manager plans, evaluates, organizes, harmonizes, coordinates and monitors Respiratory Therapy activities to provide quality services to patients. The incumbent establishes policies and procedures in accordance with administrative management, as well as the professional standards of Vitalité Health Network and the profession. They define clinical approaches and are responsible for managing budgets, equipment and supply purchases, human resources, as well as risk and quality. They also plan activities based on the department's strategic plan, the Network's priorities and identified needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in Administration or any other combination of relevant training and experience deemed equivalent;
- Minimum of five years' clinical experience;
- Management or supervisory experience is an asset;
- Member in good standing of a Respiratory Therapy Association is an asset;
- Knowledge of software programs currently used within the Network;
- Skills in planning, evaluating and improving services, as well as in resolving conflicts and problems;
- Strategic-thinking skills and an innovative and collaborative management style;
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities;
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize assigned tasks;
- Participatory leadership style that focuses on patients and outcomes and inspires commitment, respect, compassion and equity;
- Commitment and adherence to changes and ability to manage them with a positive attitude;
- Ability to use evidence-based data in decision making;
- Interpersonal skills that foster a welcoming climate, client care and effective communication;
- Sincere desire to improve one's professional knowledge and skills and ability to stimulate professional interest within the team;
- Flexibility in working hours;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
