Hours: 5:30am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $26.00/hr
Location: Ottawa East

We are currently looking for an experienced DZ Driver with 5+ years of experience to work with a well-known transportation supply company in the East End of Ottawa. This is a great opportunity for stability, growth, and advancement within your driving career.

Responsibilities:

• Deliveries and pick-ups of supplies to construction sites in the Ottawa and surrounding areas
• Verifying delivery manifests
• Operating a 10-ton dual axle or 5-ton single axle flatbed
• Ensuring the load is safely secured to the truck and completing a safety circle check before leaving the yard
• Reading road maps quickly and efficiently for directions to delivery sites
• Reporting any safety/mechanical issues with the assigned truck to supervisors immediately
• Clearly communicating with customers on delivery sites and/or over mobile phones
• Being courteous to customers at all times
• Maintaining the truck to ensure it is safe and in good working order
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Abstract and CVOR printed within the last 30 days
• 3 years of verifiable DZ truck operation
• Load securement experience
• Current DZ license
