DZ Driver

Job Title: DZ Driver - Local Deliveries

Pay: $25/hr

Shifts: Monday - Friday

Hours: 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Location: Ottawa, ON

We're actively seeking DZ Truck Drivers with 2 years of experience to deliver sanitation products in the Ottawa, ON area. This role includes 90% hand bombing, and you will be communicating directly with customers daily. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and use electric jiggers and hand carts.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering to schools, daycares, and other companies within the Greater Ottawa Metropolitan Area and surrounding areas.
• Loading and unloading stock in a secure manner for safe, damage-free transportation.
• 90% hand bombing deliveries, with use of electric jiggers and hand carts.
• Verifying all orders at the time of delivery and delivering orders to meet customer specifications.
• Ensuring equipment and truck are in good working condition through adherence to delivery maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with the completion of delivery registers and paperwork to ensure stock is accounted for.
• Able to work extended hours, which may be required from time to time.
• Must be flexible regarding work hours.

Qualifications:

• Current TDG/WHMIS knowledge would be considered an asset.
• Ability to use power loading equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO policies and procedures would be considered an asset.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
• Able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs.).
• DZ license with a minimum of two years of tractor-trailer driving experience is required.
