Job Summary

The Children?s Health Program of Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services (NLHS Eastern Urban Zone) invites expressions of interest for long-term locum positions as Pediatric Gastroenterologist in St. John?s, Newfoundland and Labrador. All interested applicants are encouraged to apply. This is equivalent to 1.0 FTE salaried position in the Children and Women?s Health (Child) Program, at the Janeway, Eastern Health and is accountable for the provision of comprehensive health care services to the patients receiving care from the program.

The general accountabilities of the position include:

  • Providing services to the Children and Women?s Health (Child) Program, Eastern Health.
  • Providing treatments and therapies in which the incumbent has been adequately trained and supervised.
  • Providing clinical services within the scope of practice for a Pediatric Gastroenterologist.
  • Providing individualized direct and indirect patient care to patients within the Program.
  • Assessment and management of diseases referable to Pediatric Gastroenterologist scope of practice

The effective date of the locum is December 01, 2025 until March 31, 2026

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates must hold a MD to be considered.
  • Must have Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
  • Deemed eligible for licensure to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador. For more information visit: [email protected].
