(Full-Time, 6-Month Contractual Position) Management Professional

DUTIES
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of the Faculty of Medicine and collaborating with Clinical Discipline Chairs, the successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Clinical Disciplines within the Faculty of Medicine, providing leadership and strategic support to key initiatives for Discipline activities. Duties include providing management and direction to administrative staff; financial management, including developing short and long term financial plans, priorities and objectives; developing and monitoring the operating, research and discipline fund budgets; developing and implementing business processes and systems to increase efficiency and optimize resources; overseeing daily operations including financial, human and administrative resources; ensuring essential tools, equipment and supplies are in place; managing the continuous quality improvement process for successful accreditation and across all aspects of the Disciplines, as well as compliance of standards required by affiliated regulatory authorities and other stakeholders of Disciplines; assisting in program development to achieve specific objectives; providing advice and support to programs; developing, applying, administering and monitoring policies and procedures; collaborating with stakeholders at the local, provincial and national levels to enhance programming and resources; providing reports as required, including a variety of statistical analysis to stakeholders (local, regional and provincial); representing and marketing clinical Disciplines at local, provincial and national levels; communicating to various stakeholders; preparing and providing presentations; overseeing Disciplines' websites and social media development; and performing other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (5-8 years) in a management capacity in an academic environment and/or the public sector; completion of a Master's degree in Health/Business Administration or related discipline; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Strong skills in strategic financial management, including administrative, organizational, leadership, analytical and problem solving is required. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are required, as are strong computer skills. Familiarity with Memorial University policies and procedures, as well as familiarity with the Faculty of Medicine will be considered assets.
SALARY $77,775 – $100,817 (Management and Professional)
