At Emera Inc. (TSX:EMA, NYSE:EMA) we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investor Relations Analyst to join our dynamic Investor Relations team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the communication of the company's financial performance, strategy, and outlook to the investment community. The ideal candidate will have financial analysis and modeling experience, and excellent communication abilities. Capital markets experience would be considered an asset.
This is a dynamic role within Emera with executive visibility as well as cross functional interaction including finance, corporate affairs and strategy, as well as across our operating companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of the company's investor relations strategy.
- Analyze financial results, market trends, and peer performance to inform strategic messaging.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly earnings materials, Q&A, presentations, and press releases.
- Maintain and update investor presentations, fact sheets, and other IR materials while continuously looking for ways to improve our overall offering.
- Monitor sell-side analyst reports, investor sentiment, and shareholder ownership trends.
- Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, Legal, Corporate Affairs and Strategy) to gather information and ensure consistent messaging.
- Participate in investor meetings and earnings calls.
- Support the tracking and reporting on investor feedback and market intelligence for executive leadership.
- Manage and enhance IR tools, databases, and the company's investor relations website.

Skills, Capabilities, Education and Experience:
As the ideal candidate you recognize yourself in most of the following competencies, and possess or are working towards the desired skills and experience listed below:
- An undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, business or other related disciplines.
- CPA or CFA designation (or progress towards completion) would be considered an asset, though not required.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong financial acumen and advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong communication skills which enable you to produce high quality materials for presentation to different audiences such as investment analysts, shareholders, and the senior leadership team.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong PowerPoint skills and experience working with financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ) would be considered an asset.
