SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the CIS Manager, the Intermediate Translator (English to French) in Digital Health will be responsible for translating specialized documents, including clinical and technical vocabulary, while complying with CIS qualitative and quantitative standards within the prescribed and agreed-upon deadlines. They will contribute to the enrichment of a style guide and terminology databases in the medical, clinical, and technological fields.
The successful candidate must have excellent time management skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. They will be called upon to review the work of colleagues or freelancers, provide support to the team in the absence of the reviewer, and participate in certain management tasks. Proficiency with technology platforms and computer-assisted translation tools is essential.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree in translation and at least two years' relevant experience OR university degree in a related field and at least five years' translation experience (an equivalent combination of education, experience and skills may also be considered);
- Customer service orientation;
- Proficiency with office automation tools, translation software and digital applications related to translation work;
- Excellent mastery of both official languages, French and English, in oral and written forms, including the ability to adapt to different language registers;
- Proven organizational and work management skills and ability to work independently;
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork and independent work skills;
- Proven ability to function in a changing work environment;
- Proven ability to work with partners inside and outside the Network;
- Sustained interest in furthering one's knowledge;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
