About the Role

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist to join our Administration team on a full-time term basis.

In this key front-line role, you'll provide reception and administrative support, maintain resident records, coordinate meetings, and assist with fundraising and other administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, answer phones, and handle general reception duties.
  • Operate and stock the canteen; sell staff meal tickets and manage mail duties.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting materials, attend meetings, and record accurate minutes (GVM Seniors Foundation and JOHSC).
  • Maintain resident files, update census and safety lists, and track resident movements.
  • Organize care conferences and communicate with families.
  • Coordinate telephone and cable hookups/disconnections.
  • Support GVM Seniors Foundation events, including the annual golf tournament.
  • Provide backup coverage for the Finance Clerk and other clerical roles as needed.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum Grade 12; Office Administration diploma preferred.
  • Experience: Previous clerical or administrative experience an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Sage Accounting experience an asset.
