We're Hiring! Maintenance Worker - Full-Time (Unionized)
Grand View Manor in Berwick, NS is looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team!
If you take pride in keeping buildings safe, comfortable, and running smoothly - we want to hear from you! You'll help maintain our long-term care home, working on everything from plumbing and electrical to general building and grounds maintenance.
Position Details:
Must be able to work all shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
Unionized position
Starting rate: $22.7183
Rate after probabtion (720 hours): $23.1045
What You'll Do:
- Troubleshoot and repair building systems (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Maintain grounds, parking lots, and service roads
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and staff
What We're Looking For:
- Grade 12 education (post-secondary or trade training an asset)
- Experience in one or more trades: plumbing, electrical, or carpentry
- WHMIS knowledge and safety awareness
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to take part in a rotating on-call schedule
- Passion for helping others and contributing to a caring community
