Reporting to the Program Manager, MedFlight, the Clinical Manager, MedFlight, shall be responsible for the administration and assessment of the clinical education, training and quality portfolio within the MedFlight program of MHNL. As such, the incumbent shall be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and coordination of MedFlight's education and quality management program, ensuring the provision of quality patient care and continuing education within the MedFlight program that meets clinical, contractual and organizational obligations. This position is responsible to lead and direct MedFlight's Clinical Leaders.
The Clinical Manager, MedFlight will work closely with the MedFlight Critical Care Transport Leadership team as well as the MedFlight Medical Director and Physician Team Leads, Clinicians and many other stakeholders.
The incumbent, while not required to act in the role of an MedFlight clinician, will be required to perform direct clinical oversight of the MedFlight clinicians during mission operations.
Professional Qualifications & Competencies:
- Undergraduate degree in a health-related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to the employer may be considered.
- Licensed to work in NFLD as a registered health care professional.
- Minimum five years' health care related experience.
- A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within a healthcare setting required.
- Three years' experience at the critical care level considered a strong asset.
- Current or past Air Medical/Critical Care Transport experience considered an asset.
- Quality assurance and/or risk management experience a strong asset.
- Accreditation experience is a strong asset.
- Project management experience an asset.
- A diploma/certificate in Adult Education is an asset.
