JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Regional Director of Community Engagement, the Communications and Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in the effectiveness of communication and interaction processes with various internal and external stakeholders of Vitalité Health Network. This pivotal role actively contributes to maintaining lasting relationships of trust with the community, foundations and other stakeholders, which directly contributes to protecting and enhancing the Network's brand image and the level of public trust.
The incumbent will ensure the strategic alignment of the activity calendars for the CEO, the Leadership Team, and other stakeholders, by managing the overall engagement calendar (internal and external) in a structured and harmonized way. They will facilitate cohesion between initiatives, strategies and work plans, promoting effective dialogue between the various sectors concerned.
The incumbent will also be responsible for implementing, coordinating, and optimizing the foundation funding request process, thereby helping to mobilize resources that are essential for the Network's development. To support ongoing innovation, the coordinator will oversee the acquisition, implementation, and management of effective planning, coordination, and monitoring tools aligned with best practices in communications, media relations, public affairs, community engagement, and organizational engagement and development.
Guided by the organization's strategic priorities, the incumbent will ensure the alignment and consistency of actions taken, while proactively identifying challenges, opportunities, and levers for improvement in communications and engagement. They will be called upon to manage various regional projects, handle a wide range of requests, which may sometimes be urgent, and adapt with agility to the changing dynamics of the community.
This cross-functional role involves working closely and regularly with the Communications and Engagement team, as well as with the many stakeholders who play a role in achieving the organizational goals of Vitalité Health Network. Additional responsibilities related to the continuous improvement of communication and engagement processes may also be assigned, depending on emerging needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Postsecondary training in marketing, communications, public relations, administration or related field;
- Combination of training and experience deemed equivalent
- Three to five years' experience coordinating communications.
- Strong organizational skills, communication skills and tact;
- Excellent written and oral French and writing skills;
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment with tight deadlines;
- Recognize skills in multidisciplinary teamwork and interpersonal relations;
- Good spoken and written knowledge of both official languages (French and English) and proven writing skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
