JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Infrastructure, the incumbent is responsible for the functional planning of renovations and the reconfiguration of spaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Gather the necessary information from departments regarding space needs and layout designs for renovation or construction projects within Vitalité Health Network
  • Develop the program and functional plan for renovation or construction projects
  • Create architectural drawings to support functional plans
  • Work collaboratively with the managers of Facilities Management and the project managers to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with specifications and estimates
  • Provide assistance, guidance, analysis, and advice to departments regarding their space requirements
  • Implement and maintain a management reporting system to ensure effective compliance and monitoring of results and obligations
  • Develop space allocation budgets in collaboration with the managers of Facilities Management and the project managers to support design planning
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, including the stress related to setting priorities and meeting deadlines

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Two-year degree in architectural technology or another relevant field;
  • Five years' experience in space planning;
  • Experience in a hospital project considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of building codes in a hospital setting and of the Z8000 standard;
  • Advanced skills with computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
  • Skills in using CAD software to produce conceptual plans and 3D drawings;
  • Adherence to the language requirements stipulated in Vitalité Health Network's official languages policy;
  • Strong interactive and adaptable communication skills;
  • Collaborative and supportive approach;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Good judgment, tact, and discretion;
  • Ability to prepare and analyze complex documents;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
