Irving Tissue is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Team Leader, Operations to join our team in Saint John, NB. This role offers a unique blend of frontline leadership, hands-on operations, and strategic involvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead a crew of 12 operators on two tissue machines.
- Promote and enforce safety, housekeeping, production, and quality standards.
- Facilitate daily troubleshooting and problem-solving with operating teams.
- Manage crew performance and support employee development.
- Work a rotating schedule that includes both day and night shifts.
- Participate in strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or a completed 2-year (minimum) post-secondary program in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in pulp & paper or other industrial environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- A desire to lead and develop people.
- Commitment to growing your leadership and technical capabilities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
