SCHEDULE: Day, On Call, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essential

JOB SUMMARY :

Plan, organize and manage a preventive maintenance and safety program to ensure a comfortable and safe climate through the effective use of the resources of the Facilities Management Department in the Beauséjour Zone. Keep all architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical plans for the facilities and sites up to date. Act as a resource person for Vitalité Health Network on certain projects. Supervise Facility Maintenance Department employees on a daily basis.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Graduation from an accredited program in building engineering technology (civil, electrical, mechanical) and eligibility for the NBSCETT professional designation upon obtaining the position OR any combination of education and experience deemed equivalent;
  • Experience in the field of public, institutional, commercial or industrial building construction;
  • Experience in supervision, planning and project coordination/management;
  • Experience in using preventive maintenance software considered an asset;
  • Experience in the operation, maintenance and construction of hospital facilities considered an asset;
  • Leadership, initiative and sound judgment;
  • Organizational values and objectives;
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work with software such as Outlook, Excel, Word, AutoCAD and MegaMation, and with other software as required;
  • Good knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
  • Valid driver's licence (at least class 5) and good driving record;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
