The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant to join our Human Resources team in Toronto.

This is a permanent position.

As a Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant, you will act as the first point of contact for our company. The Receptionist plays a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors, clients, and employees. This role supports the smooth operation of the office by managing front desk responsibilities and providing administrative support to various departments.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Greet and direct visitors, clients, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer and route incoming calls and emails to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain the reception area, meeting rooms, and common areas to ensure they are clean and presentable.
  • Schedule and coordinate meeting rooms, including setup and refreshments as needed.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and filing.
  • Support onboarding of new employees by preparing welcome materials and access badges.
  • Liaise with building management and office service providers as required.
  • Provide ad hoc support to executives and departments as needed.

About You

Education:

  • College Diploma / degree in administrative or business studies

Experience:

2+ years of experience in a receptionist or administrative support role, preferably in a corporate or professional services environment.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Experience in the mining or natural resources sector is an asset but not required
