Role Overview
We are forming a Nova Scotia Power Business Transformation Team to lead the successful implementation of a brand-new Oracle Fusion solution. This is your chance to join a dynamic group of professionals and focus on the people side of change that this ERP project requires. We are currently looking to hire a Communications Specialist on a term contract, for a minimum of twelve (12) months.
When you join our Business Transformation team, you will be responsible for leading our ERP project's communication strategies and creating communications plans that keep our employees connected and informed.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Interacting extensively with internal stakeholders to design and run ERP project and company-wide communication materials ensuring consistent messaging.
- Building and managing relationships while navigating competing project requirements and priorities from a communications standpoint.
- Planning, researching, writing and editing various communications materials, including researching and writing content, developing communications plans & strategies, and managing communication campaigns to keep both the project team and the larger Emera team informed and engaged on project developments.
- Reviewing, editing and proofreading materials for various groups to ensure consistency on style and ERP tone of voice.
- Providing general day-to-day ERP communications support and advice.
- Ensuring all ERP promotional materials are aligned with Emera's brand identity.

- You have a degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or equivalent work-related experience.
- You have proven experience delivering communication services and messaging to achieve change in a complex environment.
- You are a creative storyteller who can translate complex technical initiatives into digestible, meaningful content that aligns with the ERP project's strategy.
- You possess strong leadership skills and can effectively prioritize multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment while meeting deadlines.
