JOB SUMMARY :
Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President of Human Resources, the incumbent is responsible for the strategic and operational supervision of occupational health and safety activities within Vitalité Health Network. This person acts as an expert advisor in specialized fields such as occupational medicine, disability management, hygiene, safety and ergonomics.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor of business administration, preferably with a concentration in human resources, labour relations or occupational health and safety
- Master's in management considered an asset
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation considered an asset
- Ten years' diverse experience in human resources in the public sector, including three years in a management position
- Experience supervising/managing staff and strong coaching skills
- Proven knowledge of applicable labour relations legislation (human rights, employment standards, WSNB, etc.) and experience in applying such legislation
- Experience in program creation and implementation
- Combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be considered
- Demonstrated skills in transformational leadership
- Ability to manage numerous projects and/or tasks simultaneously and ability to understand the organization's needs and priorities
- Ability to set priorities and achieve results, either directly or through work teams
- Analytical, writing and synthesis skills
- Skills in using Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to travel over a large area, mainly within the province
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform assigned work
- Good work history (performance and attendance)
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values
- Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules
