JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Regional Director of Financial Operations, the incumbent will be responsible for all tasks related to the payroll process. They will also manage the staff and operations of their sector, including the planning, development and implementation of best practices. The manager will design internal controls, policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and control of all processes. They will be responsible for implementing and maintaining consistent processes across the Network, as well as overseeing year-end reporting activities. The position involves managing employees physically located in other zones. The incumbent will plan, organize and direct payroll processes to ensure bi-weekly pay for all staff of the health authority. Travel within the Network's territory will be required to support staff and managers. The incumbent may also be entrusted with various mandates depending on the operational needs of Financial Services.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of five years' relevant experience in financial accounting;
- Experience in supervising or managing staff, with strong coaching skills;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing and implementing best practices;
- Good knowledge of collective agreements;
- Proven ability to exercise transformational leadership;
- Ability to set priorities and meet objectives;
- Ability to manage several projects or tasks simultaneously, with a good understanding of organizational needs and priorities;
- Excellent analytical, writing and synthesis skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software;
- Availability to travel within the Network's territory;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to solve complex problems;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
- Good work history (performance and attendance);
