Housing New Brunswick is seeking individuals to join The Tenant and Landlord Relations Office as an Administrative Assistant.
As a member of The Tenant and Landlord Relations Office, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to The Tenant and Landlord Relations Office Program in the administration of the Residential Tenancies Act.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Respond to requests and inquiries, resolve customer issues by phone and email
- Maintain and update rental files and databases
- Return security deposit payments to tenants and landlords
- Data entry of various applications and paper forms
- Collecting security deposit payments, verifying, and balancing transaction reports
- Educate the public about TLRO services
- Reviews, prepares, tracks, copies and files documents and correspondence
- Processing of submitted forms while respecting internal targets
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from High School supplemented by a one-year related post-secondary diploma plus a minimum of three years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English AND French is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Experience working with Microsoft Access
- Experience interpreting legislative acts
- Experience in Customer Service
- Experience working in a database
- Experience in Conflict Resolution
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications to be given further consideration.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position requires some travelling within the province.
- This position may require flexibility in working hours, with occasional weekday evening or weekend work.
- Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.

Salary: $42,250 - $51,246 annually
