The Respectful Workplace Consultant in Human Resource Services is responsible for the intake, management, investigation, reporting and resolution (informal and formal) of harassment complaints made pursuant to the HRCE's Respectful Workplace (Harassment) Policy. The Consultant will use various approaches to conflict resolution in order to support the HRCE's commitment to diverse, inclusive and respectful working environments. The Consultant will also develop, implement and contribute to professional development and training, outreach activities, and on-going consultation with HRCE and school-based staff surrounding respectful workplace and conflict resolution strategies. The Consultant will take initiative to continually evaluate the needs of the organization to support respectful, harassment-free workplaces and implement changes as required. The Respectful Workplace Consultant will report to the Coordinator, Human Resource Services.

Qualifications:

(a) Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a concentration in human resource management or acceptable equivalent obtained through education, training and experience;

(b) Certification in conflict resolution and/or alternative dispute resolution;

(c) Minimum three (3) years' experience in conflict resolution and/or alternative dispute resolution;

(d) Experience working in an educational environment considered an asset;

(e) Experience working in a unionized human resources environment considered an asset.

Salary:

This is a non-union confidential position included in the Professional Employees Group (PEG) and includes opportunity for hybrid work. This position is on Band 9 of the Non-Union Compensation Framework with an annual salary range of $79,153- $98,941 effective August 1, 2024.
