Salary: $17.50/hour

Hours per week: Flexible (around 20 hours)

Placement Duration: September – December 2025

Department: Social Development (SD)

Placement Description: The Child and Youth Well-Being Branch is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring strength-based programs and services to help protect and promote the safety and wellbeing of children and youth. The Branch works in partnership with colleagues within the zone, other departments, and community-based services to ensure timely and culturally responsive services and resources that result in the best outcomes for children and youth. Ultimately, the vision is for safety, wellbeing, a sense of belonging and lifelong connections for children and youth. The successful student will support the team by conducting both primary and secondary research, change management, and implementation audits among other tasks. These initiatives will align with program areas throughout the province, and the candidate will have the opportunity to connect with our team across NB.

This role offers an opportunity for skills development and hands-on experience.

Need to have:

• Language requirement: English or Bilingual
• Enrolled in a post-secondary institution in a program that has a strong research component

Nice to have: The ideal student should have experience conducting both primary and secondary research and analysis, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. They should be comfortable using office technology, software, and applications, and enjoy working with others to map out processes and identify improvements. Experience in change management or providing clinical insights would be an asset, but not a requirement.
