Service New Brunswick's Corporate Services Division supports the Corporation's operations. The Finance and Administration branch provides essential financial and operational support, including budgeting, reporting, and facilities management. Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, you will be responsible for overseeing all facilities and related administrative functions for the Corporation. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the management of facilities, including lease negotiations and infrastructure coordination.
  • Providing advice on all facilities management matters to the Senior Management team.
  • Overseeing complex and high-value projects, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and best practices.
  • Building and maintaining strategic partnerships/relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to enhance outcomes.
  • Leading high-stakes contract negotiations, ensuring risk mitigation and value optimization.
  • Leading the preparation of the annual budgets, monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances and taking action to maintain operations within approved budget.
  • Actively seeking cost savings without compromising employee and client safety.
  • Leading and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or similar) and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience, which includes at least two (2) years of leading staff and financial management responsibilities.

Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered, or the required years of experience may be increased.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate:

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following operational requirement(s) is also required:

  • Frequent travel within the province will be required.

Salary: $91,832 – $111,124 annually – Pay Band 7 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
