INTRODUCTION:

The Senior Manager, Business Operations contributes to the overall success of ScotiaMcLeod Sales Management, Business Operations in Canadian Wealth Management in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. They ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

In this role you will:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to ScotiaMcLeod Branch Managers and Wealth Advisors with the development, monitoring and execution of succession, contingency and retirement planning.
  • Provide guidance support to Regional Directors and Branch Managers on Advisor Agreements by developing and delivering Advisor Partnership Agreements.
  • Effectively manage policies and procedures on ScotiaMcLeod's Succession program and Advisor agreements.
  • Contribute to Business Operations projects and initiatives.

DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS

We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post Secondary education; Finance or Business preferred
  • Brokerage experience an asset
  • Good knowledge of wealth management concepts; financial instruments
  • Knowledge of back office brokerage operational processes and end to end workflows an asset
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to effectively work with stakeholders, partners and management.
  • Excellent aptitude for accuracy and thoroughness
  • Highly professional, able to exercise discretion when working with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong analytical skills/ problem solving skills and ability to make sound judgements.
