• Originate, research, write, interview, shoot, edit and produce original news stories and elements for broadcast and digital platforms;
• Set up and operate live equipment as required;
• Adhere to editorial standards and guidelines regarding accuracy, ethics and legal issues;
• Assure equipment and mobile are in good working order;
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 3 years' experience in broadcast journalism;
• Proven background in news reporting and abilities to perform on camera;
• Strong writing, storytelling and knowledge of local news and current affairs;
• Excellent writing and strong presentation skills;
• Knowledge of social networks and audience engagement, an asset;
• Proven abilities in camera and editing;
• Proven organizational skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines;
• Sound editorial judgment, proven ability to produce original and enterprise reporting;
• Ability to deal with new and emerging technology;
• Journalism degree, Video Journalist experience, computer literacy and knowledge of iNews, an asset;
• Valid driver's license and good record.
